Family celebration of Aurubis Bulgaria
Chapter 4 Bulgaria is proud we have organized the Aurubis family celebration day for a consecutive year. On the 23rd of June was the traditional celebration of the company’s employees near Corminesh district. This year the official day of the company marked the 60th anniversary of the factory in Pirdop. The event was also attended by the MP Lalo Kirilov, regional mayors, representative from local culture organizations and partners of Aurubis.
The celebration started with greetings from the executive director Tim Kurth and continued with performance of the marching band from Zlatista. There were also many folklore and modern dance companies “Srednogorie” , “Shareno horo”, “Srednogorie dance” and “Srednogorche”. The show was hosted by the popular Maria Sylvester and Nench Balabanov.
The big surprise of the day was a shop for handmade chocolates where youngsters and children took part in creating the desserts. They created their sweet masterpieces which were later sold with a charity cause to help unfortunate children from the region.
The event continued with presentation of the six-decade history of the factory through music and film, showing the development of the industry in the area. Like on every birthday, a glittering and impressive multi-level cake was solemnly cut by executive director Tim Kurt and the Mayor of Chavdar Pencho Gerov.
Special guests were 4 Magic, winner of X Factor Bulgaria and the dance company Funky monkeys. The night ended with performances from popular Bulgarian singers Lyubo Kirov and Galena and the celebration finished with spectacular fireworks.
